You can ask us at any time to delete the personal data Umbrelar holds about you, including the data we hold from Facebook and Instagram. This page explains how to make that request and what each route deletes.
Option 1 — Delete from within Umbrelar
- Open the Umbrelar app and go to Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm the request. We sign you out everywhere and suspend the account immediately, then permanently delete your data after a 30-day grace period.
- If you change your mind. Sign in again with the same email and password within those 30 days, and we cancel the deletion and restore the account in full. Once the 30 days have passed, the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
To disconnect only a channel and keep your account, go to Settings → Connected accounts and tap Disconnect. We revoke the connection with Meta and delete the stored access token immediately, and we stop publishing to that channel.
Option 2 — Request by email
Send a deletion request to info@synquanta.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Data Deletion Request". If you connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account, please include the account or Page name so we can identify the connected assets.
Option 3 — Remove Umbrelar from Facebook or Instagram
You connected your Facebook Page or Instagram account by logging in to Meta yourself, so you can also withdraw that access from Meta's side at any time:
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations → Umbrelar → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Umbrelar → Remove.
Meta notifies our servers when you do this. We then delete the Facebook and Instagram data described below and stop publishing on your behalf. Your Umbrelar account and the content you created stay with you. If you want those deleted too, use Option 1 or Option 2.
Facebook & Instagram note. Umbrelar never receives or stores your Facebook or Instagram password. You log in on Meta's own screen, and Meta issues us an access token, which we store encrypted on our servers. That token is deleted when you disconnect the channel inside Umbrelar, when you remove Umbrelar from Facebook or Instagram, and when you ask us to delete your data.
What gets deleted
When you remove Umbrelar from Facebook or Instagram (Option 3)
We delete everything we hold that came from Meta:
- The stored access tokens for your Facebook Page and Instagram account.
- Your connected-channel identifiers (Facebook Page ID and name, Instagram account ID and username) and the record of the permissions you granted.
- Your connected ad account record, in full: its identifier, name, currency, time zone and spending status, and the stored access token for it.
- The Meta post identifiers and links for posts Umbrelar published for you.
The posts and creatives themselves are your own work, made inside Umbrelar, so we keep them in your account rather than destroying them. Anything already published on Facebook or Instagram stays on your Page until you delete it there; it belongs to your account, not ours.
When you delete your Umbrelar account (Options 1 and 2)
- Your account and identity details (name, email, hashed password).
- Your business profile and brand information ("Brain").
- Connected-channel identifiers and access tokens (Facebook and Instagram), any connected ad account and its stored token, and any WhatsApp number you gave us for your ads.
- Content and creatives generated for or by you, and their stored copies.
- Campaign records and the ad results stored under your account (where applicable).
What we may retain
We retain limited records where a legal, tax, security, or audit obligation requires it, and we may keep data in anonymized form that no longer identifies you.
Timeframe
We confirm deletion requests promptly and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law.
